A middleweight contest between promising up-and-comers, Rob Kimmons and Steve Steinbeiss appears to be in the woks for the UFC on Versus 2 fight card set for August 1st in Salt Lake City, Utah.
According to MMAJunkie.com sources close to the fight have indicated that both men have verbally agreed to meet and that bout agreements will be issued shortly.
Kimmons was last seen in action in October, losing to middleweight veteran, Jorge Rivera. He holds wins over the likes of Rob Yundt and Joe Vedopo inside the octagon, as well as falling short against Dan Miller.
As for Steinbess, his only octagon outing ended in defeat when he lost via submission to Ryan Jensen back at UFC Fight Night 19 in September. He was due to return in January but was forced off the card due to injury.
