Fedor talks of ufc

Speaking to mixfight.ru M-1 Global, Fedor Emelianenko MMA icon said he became "a thorn in the side of the UFC", blaming the promotion of Dana White about the lack of respect for his fighters. Despite having some harsh words, "The Last Emperor", revealed that negotiations with the Ultimate Fighting Championship are still in process, under the patronage of the head of M-1 in, Vadim Finkelste.

Here is a translation of the interview Fedor, speaking of the UFC:

What do you think about Alistair Overeem victory over Brett Rogers?
I did not see that fight, like the entire Strikeforce tournament in May. I have several fighters that interest me and I am following their struggles during the year.

... and who are these wrestlers?
I am interested in Randy Couture, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Shogun Rua. I am also young fighters like Cain Velasquez and UFC Junior Dos Santos ... I think they're talented guys.

But these fighters compete in the UFC, a promotion in which we have already lost hope of seeing him fight. Vadim Finkelstein said a couple of days ago that if you had signed a contract with the UFC a couple of years as an athlete would not exist today. Do you think that could really have happened to you?

I do not think so. UFC is a money machine. The most important thing for this organization is a brand and marketing. They have a couple of good fighters, and also there are some very good champions, but they are trying to keep all level. The most important thing for them is to promote, not combatants. I think they are disrespectful to their fighters. As for me, I became a thorn in his side.

We are constantly negotiating, but only for the last time the Americans began to show some respect. The dialogue between us is completely different now. They are more interested in our opinion.

The dialogue with the UFC will continue?

All I can say is that Vadim Finkelstein is currently training in dealing with the situation.

Meanwhile, Global Head of Operations M-1, Evgeni Kogan Ariel Helwani revealed that MMA Hour WAMMA title of heavyweight Fedor will be at stake against Werdum, though Strikeforce declared that it would be a fight for title . The fight against Fabricio Werdum will take place this Saturday at the HP Pavilion Center in San Jose, California. Fedor Emelianenko with a current record of 31-1 in his career of mixed martial arts, competing since 2000.
